The rate at which velocity changes with time. Any mass with a net force acting on it undergoes acceleration. The acceleration due to gravity (symbol g) is the acceleration experienced by an object falling freely at a body's surface, pulled by the force of gravity. On Earth, the average value is around 9.8 m/s².
